We are proud to host our annual staff event featuring a panel of Monash women

International Women’s Day is celebrated each year, recognising the social, cultural, economic and political achievements of women and raising a call to action to progress gender equality. The UN Women International Women’s Day 2021 Theme is "Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in COVID-19 world". This theme celebrates the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future. Monash University has a proud history of celebrating International Women's Day and this event forms part of our broader commitment to gender equity.

The event will be opened by Monash University President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Margaret Gardner AC and hosted by Ms Renaye Peters, Vice-President (Campus Infrastructure & Services)

Get involved

To celebrate this year's International Women's Day, we’re inviting all Monash University staff to tell us in 50 words or less why they support the #WomenLead campaign.

The staff member with the most inspiring answer will be provided with a unique opportunity to participate in a 30-minute one-on-one session with President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Margaret Gardner AC, where they can share their passion and commitment to advancing gender equality at Monash.

This opportunity is open to staff of Monash University via the IWD event registration form below, and closes at 5.00pm AEDT / 2pm MYT on Thursday 4 March 2021.
