Current Opportunities 

PhD Scholarships

PhD Scholarship applications are now closed. Thank you to everyone who applied. Outcomes will be advised in the coming weeks. The scholarships are funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council Centre of Research Excellence in Better Health Outcomes for Compensable Injury (CRE) and the Faculty of Law at Monash. The CRE brings together leading researchers in epidemiology, rehabilitation medicine, physiotherapy, psychology, law, health economics, health services research and computational social science at the University of Queensland, the University of Sydney, The University of Melbourne and Monash University. The PhD scholars will be based at Warren Centre in the Faculty of Law at Monash University and supervised by Associate Professor Genevieve Grant, together with other investigators drawn from the CRE and the Faculty.

Higher Degree by Research

Warren Centre is home to a number of PhD students undertaking empirical research on justice innovation topics. We also provide empirical research methods training opportunities and programs for Monash staff and students within and beyond the Law Faculty. Supervision

Warren Centre researchers also supervise Monash Law students engaged in undergraduate research units and Honours theses, as well as postgraduate research.

Vacation Research Scholarship Program

Vacation Research Scholarship Program

Warren Centre runs a Vacation Research Scholarship Program in Winter and Summer every year. This program provides students with paid experience working with an Warren Centre-affiliated faculty member on current research, with recognition listed on the student's academic transcript. Project topics have included research in law and AI, corporate law, family law, sports law, litigation and dispute resolution and access to justice. Working with Warren Centre

Warren Centre has a strong track record of successful research partnerships with government, private sector and community organisations. We are committed to providing high-quality research and evaluation services and translating and communicating our work to maximise impact and usability. Our team has experience with a range of research tasks and approaches, including:

  • evidence synthesis
  • research design
  • stakeholder consultation
  • qualitative research using interviews and focus groups
  • survey design and analysis
  • assessment and analysis of administrative data, and
  • evaluating policies and programs.

We have particular strength working in multidisciplinary teams, and have a network of collaborators at Monash University across faculties. This allows us to bring together specialist teams on projects that span fields (such as health services research, information technology, economics and design).
