About
The Monash Climate Change Communication Hub, headquartered in Australia, brings the university's extensive Australian and international resources to researching climate communication. We were established within Monash University's School of Media, Film and Journalism in late 2016, and have since grown into an international and inter-disciplinary research group working with a vast range of industries, communities, research institutions and governments.
We apply research strategies from media studies, journalism, climate science, sociology, psychology, international relations, education, and political science.
To live in a world in which climate change is depoliticised, where people trust and understand the science and the solutions.
To build media, communication, and education programs that clearly communicate accurate, relevant climate science and solutions.
To facilitate global climate literacy, where governments, policymakers, businesses, and the public can make informed decisions in response to the evolving impacts of climate change.
