David Herd has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years, during a period which has seen the industry environment significantly change. David has been at the forefront of helping GSK to adjust to these changes, including earlier in his career helping to shape and establish an internal regulatory infrastructure within Central Eastern Europe and overseeing change management in the Regulatory Affairs service arena.

Within GSK, David provides Communication, Government Affairs and Health technology leadership and environmental strategic advice to all businesses within the GSK family, including Pharmaceuticals, Vaccines and the subsidiary of GSK, ViiV Healthcare Environment, the Company's HIV medicines supplier, across several markets, including Australia.

Externally, David has represented Medicines Australia in various committees and negotiations to help shape future market access and the government policy environment. David is an industry member of the Medicines Australia (MA) Advisory Council and the Industry-Government Access to Medicines Working Group.
