Dr Maiada M. Sadek

Senior Research Scientist (Molecular Biology)
Dr Maiada M. Sadek is a medicinal chemistry expert with extensive experience in designing, synthesising and evaluating compounds across different biological targets, using specialised pharmaceutical instruments, including Nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (NMR), ultra-high-performance liquid, size exclusion and ion exchange chromatography and mass spectrometry (LCMS).
Maiada holds a Master’s degree in medicinal chemistry (Ain Sham University) and a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Science, majoring in medicinal chemistry from Monash University, focusing on synthesising small molecules and low molecular weight peptides as therapeutics. Prior to her current role at MMIC, Maiada was a research assistant in the Medicinal Chemistry theme at Monash University. She contributed significantly to experimentation and data analysis and gained extensive experience in drug design, synthetic chemistry and NMR analysis.
Maiada also recently completed The Bridge Program, a professional development program that provides researchers and entrepreneurs with tools to navigate the research commercialisation pathways effectively.
