Quality and Systems Manager

Ruth Howell is our quality and systems manager, who ensures quality assurance and control of our facilities as well as manages compliance and data integrity.

Ruth has a background in biotechnology at Charles Sturt University. She has over ten years of experience and knowledge in lab operations from her work in Melbourne and UK-based laboratories. Ruth was the research laboratory manager at the Centre of Innovation at Monash University from 2009-2017, with responsibilities including managing day-to-day lab operations and coordinating the internship training program

In commencing with the MMIC in 2017, Ruth worked closely with the Monash Technology Research Platform Group to achieve the 9001 ISO quality management system accreditation for the centre. This accreditation marks a formal international recognition of our quality management system and makes MMIC one of the few University-based organisations with this accreditation.
