RNAte

RNAte is a specialised platform that plays a valuable role in the RNA industry. As a ground breaking testing platform and a team of experienced experts, RNAte provides accurate assessments of innate immune activity to inform RNA product development and readiness for clinical trials.Photo of the RNAte team which includes 7 personnel.

Platform Capabilities

The RNAte platform supports the development of safer and more effective mRNA and RNA-based vaccines and therapeutics through specialised innate immune profiling services. By identifying pro-inflammatory and off-target immune activities early in the design and development phase, RNAte empowers researchers and manufacturers with a better understanding of critical reactogenicity risks before they progress their candidates to clinical trials. RNAte offers its validated, quality-controlled assays in both small-scale and high-throughput formats, enabling broader support of the development pipeline from proof-of-concept to commercialisation.

Drawing on their extensive expertise in complex innate immune pathways engaged by RNA therapeutics, RNAte offers a range of services along the drug development pipeline, which include:

  • Preclinical testing: RNAte assists researchers and manufacturers to de-risk candidates early and streamline the candidate selection to reduce the cost, time and uncertainty associated with in vivo testing.
  • Clinical study support: RNAte offers CRO activities, custom kit design and biorepository services.
RNAte provides its services to a broad range of clients in Australia and globally, including academic groups, biotechnology companies and pharmaceutical manufacturers. As Australia's first laboratory to gain NATA accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025, with a GCLP overlay for mRNA reactogenicity testing, RNAte delivers precise, reproducible results to globally recognised standards, bridging the gap between research and clinical translation.

The Team

Located within the Monash Health Precinct, RNAte is a team of dedicated scientists combining deep technical expertise with a commercial focus to deliver reliable and accurate results for clients to advance their program with confidence. The team offers responsiveness and flexibility that is necessary for the product development cycle, including fast turnaround times, direct scientist-to-client consultation, and the ability to adapt protocols as project needs evolve.

Backed by world-leading inflammation researchers at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research, the RNAte team brings the academic rigour required to interpret complex or unexpected findings and provide beneficial translational scientific insight.
