Training

Prepare for your career in the pharmaceutical industry

We offer professional development and workforce training to individuals who are seeking to work, or already work, in the broad spectrum of industries that draw on the expertise, practices and knowledge from the pharmaceutical sciences. We deliver short courses to increase the competencies of participants in different areas and enhance their capabilities and effectiveness for this workforce. We are also working to support the growth of the emerging mRNA manufacturing sector through the delivery of specific mRNA programs designed to increase technical competencies and provide practical, hands-on training relevant to mRNA manufacturing.

  • Online learning

Specific learning content presented as online modules, completed asynchronously in your own time.

  • In-person skill development

In-person training conducted by expert facilitators to enable the cultivation of practical skills and experience.

  • Professional development

Short courses developed in consultation with industry to meet workforce needs and demands.

Our short courses are now open!

mRNA Manufacturing | Essentials

A short course focused on establishing a deeper understanding of the principles of mRNA manufacturing. Participants will gain knowledge about the major unit processes involved in mRNA manufacturing:

  • Selection of the DNA template
  • In vitro transcription
  • mRNA purification and extraction
  • Encapsulation of mRNA with lipid nanoparticles
  • Analytical processes that support mRNA manufacturing

Through guided wet laboratory exercises, participants will gain relevant practical experience and skills to produce their own mRNA.
