MGBP has expanded its research infrastructure with the installation of the PacBio Vega HiFi long-read sequencer and the 10x Genomics Xenium spatial transcriptomics platform at Clayton campus.

PacBio Vega delivers highly accurate long-read sequencing, enabling improved genome assembly, structural variant detection, full-length transcript sequencing, and complex genomic analyses. Complementing this capability, the 10x Genomics Xenium platform provides high-resolution spatial transcriptomics, allowing researchers to visualise gene expression directly within tissue context at single-cell resolution.

To mark the launch of these new technologies, MGBP will host a dedicated launch event on Friday 27 March, featuring researcher presentations, technology overviews from PacBio and 10x Genomics, and details of exclusive launch discounts.
