Graduated from the School of Physics, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (Ukraine). Had an opportunity to learn optical microscopy methods as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Physiology, Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS, Prague, Czech Republic).
Being fascinated by the capabilities of modern imaging techniques, completed his PhD project on biomedical applications of confocal, multiphoton microscopy (MP) and second harmonic generation (SHG) imaging at the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague in 2015. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, established two-photon excitation fluorescence and phosphorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM and PLIM) for metabolic imaging and contributed to the expansion of the imaging facility.
Joined Monash Micro Imaging (Clayton campus) in 2018 as a Senior Microscopist. Nowadays trains and supports users in a wide range of biological and biophysical applications with an emphasis on volumetric imaging (MP, light sheet and lattice light sheet) and advanced imaging techniques (deconvolution, Airyscan, FRAP and photo-stimulation, time-gated imaging and FLIM).
