Antimicrobial Resistance: Science, Communications and Public Engagements (AMR-scapes) was supported by an Australian Research Council Discovery Project grant (DP DP170100937). CI/PIs for the project were, A/Professor Mark Davis (Monash), Professor Andrea Whittaker (Monash), Professor Mia Lindgren (Swinburne), Professor Monika Djerf-Pierre (Gothenburg) and Professor Paul Flowers (Strathclyde).

The project used qualitative interview and media content analysis to investigate:

  1. the mediation of expert AMR knowledge and trust in public communications, news and digital media;
  2. the reception of AMR communications and enactment of AMR knowledge in everyday life;
  3. transformative media approaches for the promotion of public trust.
