The School of Social Sciences is a leading research powerhouse in anthropology, criminology, human geography, politics, international relations, sociology, and gender studies. Across our disciplines we have particular strengths represented through our six key research clusters: community, culture and place; technologies and digital societies; healthy and thriving societies; climate and sustainability; institutions, power and coercion; and inclusive peace and security.
We also have explicit research networks across Monash, Australia, and the globe.
We collaborate with researchers at Monash in Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Europe. Our research networks extend to other leading universities and research centres, worldwide.
