32 Exhibition Walk (Building 50) comprises the Monash Club (coloured section of floor plan) which is open to Monash staff, Higher Degree Research (HDR) candidates, previous staff, alumni and their guests, as well as a café (C.O.S.C.) which is open to staff, students and the wider community.

Spends and spaces

Our rooms are based on a minimum spend set-up. This minimum spend can be used for catering and the pre-selection of food and beverages for your guests throughout the time of the booking. If you go over the minimum spend, that amount is added to your final bill, and if under the minimum spend, the remainder will show as a room hire fee. Below is our current minimum spend document.

Room Descriptions

The Club Lounge offers a top-tier, modern business environment with a welcoming and professional atmosphere that is conducive to both work and relaxation. It's the ideal space for informal meetings over coffee or a delicious meal.
This space is available for casual use over breakfast and lunch, bookings are not required. It can also be utilised for private events for up to 80 guests.
The back desk at the rear of Monash Club, functions as a quiet space, suitable for working outside the office. There are charging ports and outlets spaced along the desk top and an abundance of natural light, as well as access to our casual dining menus and bar offerings.
This is a casual use space, bookings are not available.
Monash Club offers two outdoor spaces; an internal courtyard situated in the centre of the building, and a back deck at the rear. Both spaces are free to be used by guests throughout the day, with no bookings required.
Both spaces can also be booked for private events, in tandem with our other spaces.
The Long Room is our restaurant space, open for lunch from 11:30am to 3:00pm, with our Bistro Menu.
This space is available for casual use, however reservations are recommended. The space can also be hired out exclusively for large events - it caters up to 100 people for seated events and 120 people for standing events such as informal presentations or cocktail functions.
Audio-visual equipment: Projector and screen, computer, wireless presentation and wireless microphone.
The Peter Marshall Dining Room is an intimate and sophisticated space for guests to experience fine food and beverages. It offers discrete service without distraction in a stylish and elegant interior, closed off from the rest of our venue.
The Private Dining Experience offers a fine-dining experience in the heart of campus for up to 20 people, but the space can also be arranged to host an intimate standing event for up to 50 people.
Bookings are required to make use of this space.
We have two meeting room spaces available in our venue, ideal for workshops, seminars or meetings. There are a range of catering options available for these spaces, and we will work with you to ensure that your event runs smoothly.
Each room operates as an independent space accommodating 16 people, but they can be combined to seat up to 32 people.
These spaces are available through booking only.
Audio-visual equipment: Meeting room one has an LCD screen and meeting room two has a projector and screen. Computer facilities, wireless presentation and in-built zoom capabilities are available in both rooms.
The Business Centre is an informal, quiet workspace with four desktop computers available for use, as well as desk space for up to 12 people. Food and beverages can be served in room, making this space ideal for hot desking.
This is a non-bookable space and is available for casual use only.
