Network Topology from AMI Signals
Power distribution businesses increasingly require better visibility into their networks, so they are able to maximise the capacity of their networks to host new technologies (EVs, solar, batteries). In response to this pressing challenge, this projected developed novel solutions to map distribution networks using available smart meter data. The project demonstrated that it is possible to estimate the topology and electrical parameters of power networks using electrical measurements from smart meters without the use of geographical information.
