We support the makers, the doers and the game changers at Monash to turn their ideas into reality.
We believe that incredible people can create real value in the world when they find their intersection of purpose, problem and market fit. At the Generator, we help you discover your purpose, build out your ideas and scale up your side-projects into game changing startups and social enterprises.
Our vision is to create high-potential startups that contribute meaningfully back to the growing startup ecosystem at Monash and in Victoria.
YOUR PLATFORM TO GROW
The Generator is powered by an infrastructure that is made up of experiential education, access to space, mentors and seed funding to support you and your startup or social enterprise.
The Generator believes in the power of self directed and experiential learning, which is at the core of any entrepreneurial journey. When you participate in Generator education programs, we put the challenge back on you to apply principles and frameworks to the real world. Only through applying this will you truly understand the entrepreneurial journey of taking an idea to reality. Our education focuses on:
Why are you solving the problem
- THE PROBLEM
Who suffers from the problem
- THE MARKET
How big is the market
How much value will your solution create
Welcome to Innovation Alley, Monash University’s co-working space - a space to work, connect and progress your ideas. Located at the Clayton Campus, the space is open to all students and staff connected to the entrepreneurship community.
The co-working space is a place for you to break from the norm of your desk, your bedroom or your lecture room.
Our mentors are always a step ahead of you. We select mentors because, like you, they have taken the entrepreneurship journey and can guide you through yours.
Mentors have come from a wide variety of sectors, from med tech to ecommerce, social enterprise and global tech startup.
The Generator grants seed funding to Monash affiliated startups with no equity taken. The majority of funding is aligned to core programs such as the Accelerator. We will also actively promote other funding sources online to our community.
