Monash University strengthens support to industry through strategic partnership with Linfox

Monash University and Linfox, the largest private supply chain company in Asia Pacific, have recently announced a new strategic partnership. The alliance is designed to provide Linfox with innovation and technological advances developed through Monash’s world leading research, and provide its staff with leadership and executive education.

Linfox will leverage the expertise in supply chain research and education of Monash Infrastructure’s planning and management theme researchers to improve its capabilities. The University’s virtual reality tools, advanced analytics and systems modelling will identify and implement technological advances to keep Linfox at the forefront of its industry. The company is also developing its own innovation hub based on Monash’s technology hub.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice President (Enterprise) and Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Information Technology, Professor Frieder Seible, said the partnership would deepen the existing relationship between Monash and Linfox.

“The University already has strong ties to Linfox through our alumni network and recent projects. We look forward to collaborating on further research and education opportunities.”

In announcing the multi-million dollar partnership Linfox Executive Chairman Peter Fox said, “Linfox is pleased to partner with Monash to deliver world-class education and training to our people and collaborate on research into industry-trends, innovation and technology.

“Linfox has a long history of partnering with prestigious global universities. This investment brings our education and research needs under one roof, with Monash our partner of choice for qualifications, leadership training and short courses.”
