Promotional block
Promotional blocks are a secondary way to highlight key content, in addition to the banner. It can be used anywhere on a landing page or content page. It should not replace a banner on the top of a landing page.
What you can configure:
| Image | Select an image using the asset picker. The image dimensions are W2400px by H900px. Note, these are the same image dimensions as the full-width banner (Squiz will automatically crop the image to fit the space). You can use SMC approved banner imagery from the Digital Toolkit (internal access only). |
| Video ID (optional) | If you wish to link to a video, this is where you can add only the Youtube video ID (for example the letters and numbers in bold https://youtu.be/RQHJ9hSjTWA). This will display a play button on top of the image and upon click, will prompt the video modal to appear. |
| Heading | Enter a heading |
| Description | Enter a description using the WYSIWYG editor |
| Link (optional) | Use the asset picker to link to another page or an uploaded document |
| Tag (optional) | You may want to add text to display in a tag element (limit of 40 characters). This acts as a high-level secondary heading. If left blank, the tag element will not display. |
| Button text | If you have added a link, you will need to add in button text. This should be phrased as a call-to-action eg. 'Find a scholarship' (limit of 40 characters) |
