Comprehensive Learning Assessment

Designed for children with persistent difficulties in both literacy and numeracy despite receiving high quality teaching support at school or home.

This assessment is also appropriate for students showing high ability who are looking to explore intellectual giftedness.

What’s included:

  • One parent interview - to gather background information and understand concerns.
  • Three to four assessment sessions including cognitive ability, specific processing skills underlying literacy and numeracy (phonological skills and number sense), current reading, spelling, writing and maths skills.
  • Parent feedback session – to discuss findings and recommendations.
  • Child feedback session – if appropriate, to share insights in a supportive and age-appropriate way.
  • Comprehensive written report – summarising assessment results, interpretations, and recommendations.

Who is this for?

Children showing ongoing learning difficulties across academic areas. This assessment can lead to a diagnosis of a Specific Learning Disorder if criteria are met. Please note giftedness is not a formal diagnosis.

Cost

  • $750 for the assessment package
  • $600 for the assessment package (for health care holders)

If your child has had a recent cognitive assessment (WPPSI-IV, WISC-V) the cost of this assessment will be reduced accordingly.
