Post-Diagnostic Support Sessions
(1 to 4 sessions)
These sessions are designed to help families understand a new diagnosis and plan meaningful next steps. Support is practical, strengths-based, and tailored to each child’s strengths and needs.
Sessions may include:
- Understanding the diagnosis – exploring what it means for your child’s daily life, learning, and development.
- Talking about the diagnosis – guidance on how to discuss the diagnosis with your child and others.
- Identifying supports – at home, in school, and in the community.
- Planning next steps – including advocacy, understanding child’s rights, adjustments, individual learning plans, and referrals to other services.
- School consultation – including participation in Student Support Group (SSG) meetings or Disability Inclusion Profile (DIP) meetings.
Who is this for?
We offer these sessions to Krongold clients who have:
- Completed an assessment with our service, or
