Friends of MATS

Who are Friends of MATS?

Friends of MATS include people with their own personal experience of disability and assistive technology; family members and friends, including care partners; and other informal supporters who may provide support for decision making or be an appointed representative of a person with lived experience. Friends also include individuals who have an interest in assistive technology.

Why are Friends of MATS important?

Friends are important to MATS as they have first-hand experience with disability and technology. They help us to identify and prioritise our research and other activities and can elect to participate in selected research projects.
