Universal Design for Learning: A Blended Professional Learning Program for Victorian Educators
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a transformative approach to education that ensures that instructional materials, teaching methods, and assessments are designed to be accessible, engaging, and effective for all students, including those with disabilities and additional learning needs.
By removing barriers to participation and learning, UDL fosters an equitable educational experience where every student has the opportunity to thrive. In collaboration with the Victorian Department of Education, the Monash Faculty of Education has developed a blended professional learning program designed to enhance sector-wide expertise in UDL.

This program will support educators and school leaders across Victorian primary, secondary, and specialist schools to gain a deep understanding of the theoretical foundation of UDL and its importance in promoting inclusion and accessibility in education and develop practical strategies to implement UDL guidelines in lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment design.
