Creating Accessible Cultural Experiences
Cultural institutions play a vital role in enculturating a sense of community. Libraries, museums and galleries can serve as a reflection of the communities they exist within, and are important places for people to come together.
This project seeks to improve experiences within cultural institutions such as libraries, galleries and museums for people with a disability, by applying human-centred design principles to the creation of accessible, inclusive technology-supported journeys.
Working with the community, and cultural partners such as the Bendigo Art Gallery and the State Library of Victoria, we aim to develop supporting materials and a set of evidence-based resources for cultural institutions across the country to help them increase accessibility and inclusion.

The Outcome
We were proud to partner with the Bendigo Art Gallery to present two Access Elvis sessions for blind and low visitors to the Elvis: Direct from Graceland exhibitions.
