The Commercialisation team oversees technology transfer that includes assessing intellectual property (IP), developing strategies, working with partners and investors and negotiating different agreements, whether that’s for licensing, spinning out a company or developing a partnership around IP. Monash Ventures supports the commercialisation of inventions and different forms of IP at Monash when the IP is destined for a spinout pathway. They work alongside the commercialisation managers to provide enhanced support to the inventors, develop investment strategies, support on company formation and manage the Monash spinout portfolio.
The Entrepreneurship team leads education, talent development and oversees the broader entrepreneurial community at Monash. Through the Generator, they create a pathway for Monash students, staff, researchers and alumni to take ideas forward, and connect to other innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers at Monash. They do this through running structured programs, self directed digital learning, events and storytelling. Contact entrepreneurship@monash.edu
