Sonorus

Rheumatic heart disease (RHD) causes at least 200000 to 250000 premature deaths every year. RHD is the most common acquired disease in people under the age 25 in low and middle-income countries, especially where poverty is widespread and access to health services is limited. People who live in overcrowded and poor conditions are at greatest risk of developing the disease.

Sonorus is a healthcare company aimed at using artificial intelligence (AI) and specially designed instruments to support rheumatic heart disease (RHD) diagnosis.

The team of heart specialists and engineers at Sonorus are reimagining using today’s technology and applying it to heart sounds, creating a solution that will be capable of diagnosing based upon 30 seconds of sounds, and aims to fuse software with medical technology.

The device will be intended to be used by medical professionals as well as the general public, enabling people to get an earlier diagnosis and take earlier preventative action.
