Ramaciotti Centre for Cryo-Electron Microscopy
The Monash Ramaciotti Centre for Cryo-Electron Microscopy (Cryo-EM) is a leading research facility for biological electron microscopy. Our platform provides expertise in advanced electron microscopy for biomedical discoveries at the molecular and cellular level. We offer a range of bio-EM techniques from scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to immuno electron microscopy, correlative light and electron microscopy, cryo-tomography and structure determination using single particle cryo-EM. We maintain a suite of advanced electron microscopes, including Australia’s first Titan KRIOS – currently the most powerful microscope for bio-EM.
Together with the Monash Centre for Electron Microscopy, we form the Victorian node of Microscopy Australia (formerly AMMRF)

About us
We conduct research into advanced Bio-EM techniques. The team also provides training and expertise to Australian and international collaborators on advanced EM projects.

Working with us
Our platform is run by highly qualified researchers. We can provide intellectual input into your project and discuss how we can establish a collaboration.

Optical Imaging
Monash Micro Imaging (MMI) provides world class optical imaging instrumentation and expertise in advanced light microscopy, fluorescence and confocal microscopy, multiphoton microscopy, super-resolution microscopy, lightsheet microscopy, supporting a diverse range of applications for morphological and functional characterisation in the life sciences.

Our team
Our team provides guidance and training to allow scientists and students to independently undertake microscopy research projects with confidence.
