Monash Station

Monash StationThe Monash Station, to be located at the corner of Normanby and Howleys roads, will provide greater connectivity and access for students, staff, industry, government and visitors to the Clayton campus and Monash Technology Precinct.

The Monash Technology Precinct and surrounding National Employment and Innovation Cluster is the state’s largest employment and innovation centre outside of Melbourne’s central business district, and one of Australia’s most diverse ecosystems of globally-connected innovators and enterprise across future technologies, advanced manufacturing, health, sustainable development and education.

Centred around our Clayton campus, the Monash Technology Precinct is a hub of discovery and ideas, new ventures, skills and jobs creation. The Precinct is also home to globally recognised medical and research facilities such as the CSIRO and Australian Synchrotron, Monash Biomedical Imaging, the Monash Medical Centre and the nation’s first dedicated cardiac hospital, the state-of-the-art Victorian Heart Hospital.

Our Clayton campus is also home to a world-class sporting precinct which includes sporting ovals, tennis courts, stadiums, squash courts, swimming pools, the Ian Potter Performing Arts Centre and Robert Blackwood Hall that host a range of cultural and community events, and a vibrant food and retail offering.

Monash University continues to work with the Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) to create a connected, vibrant and user-driven arrival experience at the Monash Station. The station entries and exits and their interface with the Clayton campus – through to connecting paths into the surrounding businesses along the major roads – will feel like a 21st century neighbourhood.

The Monash Station will encourage connection and collaboration, attracting world class talent to live, work, study and visit the Clayton campus and surrounding Precinct.
