In 2020, Creative Directions examines the future of the culture and media industries in a rapidly changing world. The cultural sector has been dramatically affected by COVID-19, while our media continues to transform under the pressure of collapsing business models, dominant platforms and fierce political forces. Creative Directions examines these vital emerging trends in media, culture and communication in 2020. It aims to inform the general public, stimulate intelligent conversation and involve our students and local community in a vibrant discussion in these historic times.
Run by the School of Media, Film and Journalism, Creative Directions is an annual festival of ideas and industry know-how exploring critical issues shaping the contemporary media, cultural and communications industries. #CreativeDirections.
