Coding fun
Using the book the Wild Robert by Peter Brown as a starter, Charina Pumpa from Redeemer Primary School created an engaging ‘RealWorld’ experience for her Grade 6 class.
Ros the Robert was stuck on an island and her vision sensors were not working. The children received the a message in hexadecimals.
Students decoded the message and worked to help Ros.
The whole scenario introduced computational thinking, and produced a super engaging series of lessons.
You can watch a longer version of the video, which breaks down each of the steps.
