Lunchtime drop-in meditation sessions

Guided mindfulness meditation sessions. A great way to get started with mindfulness or to deepen your existing practice.

30 minutes per session.

Mindful stress reduction

Also an experiential group program, Mindful stress reduction teaches you how to use mindfulness to reduce stress, improve focus, enhance communication and relationships and improve productivity.

Six one-hour sessions.

Mindful relationships

This experiential program teaches you to take better care of your emotions, communicate and resolve conflict more effectively, and be more compassionate to yourself and others.

Six one-hour weekly sessions.

Mindfulness for wellbeing and peak performance (online course)

This massive online open course (MOOC) has had over 135,000 learners so far and was recently rated as one of the top 50 MOOCs of all time.

Over four weeks, explore what mindfulness is and how it can be applied to reduced stress, improve wellbeing, enhance communication and relationships and maximise productivity. It includes practical exercises, the research and brain science behind mindfulness, and discussion forum where learners from  around the world can ask questions and have a conversation about what they're learning.

Three-hour commitment (minimum) each week over four weeks (delivered online).

Maintaining a mindful life (online course)

Building upon the introductory Mindfulness for wellbeing peak performance, this course will explore further mindfulness techniques aimed to improve your communication, relationships and emotional health. It includes practical exercises, research and a discussion forum where learners from around the world can ask questions and discuss what they are learning.

Three-hour commitment (minimum) each week over four weeks (delivered online).

Students only

Mindfulness for academic success

This experiential group program teaches you how to use mindfulness to reduce stress, improve focus and concentration, overcome procrastination and max your academic performance.

Five one-hour weekly sessions

Staff only

Mind body medicine

This program helps participants explore the relationship between the mind and the body so they can take better care of themselves and others. It combines didactic teaching, group discussion and practical exercises to enhance emotional health and relaxation.

Four one-hour weekly sessions.

Mindfulness for wellbeing, resilience and performance

These half-day workshops explore how mindfulness can be used to enhance personal and professional life. The program for supervisors also explores tools and techniques supervisors can incorporate into the team to enhance communication and leadership.

Mindful learning

This Continuing Excellence in Educational Development (CEED) program combines online and face-to-face learning. It explores the science and practice of mindfulness and teaches participants to personally apply it in their lives to:

  • reduce stress
  • improve wellbeing
  • enhance communication and relationships
  • maximise productivity
  • improve teaching and learning outcomes.

Three-hour face-to-face session plus six weeks online learning (approximately one hour per week).

ESSENCE of health

This practical course enables participants to apply the ESSENCE model in their personal and professional life. It is a comprehensive lifestyle program that covers:

  • mindfulness
  • enhancing motivation
  • setting healthy lifestyle goals
  • creating lasting behaviour change.

Six one-hour weekly sessions

Train the Trainer

This program is aimed at people who have completed basic mindfulness training, have a regular personal practice of mindfulness and wish to start teaching it to others. Participants will learn how to:

  • introduce mindfulness as a concept
  • teach mindfulness meditation
  • facilitate mindful inquiry and debriefing
  • work with groups.
