Exploring Student Perceptions of Ethics, Accessibility, and Indigenous Perspectives in IT Education
This project examines how a professional practice unit can support students to develop knowledge and understanding of accessibility, Indigenous perspectives, and equity, diversity and inclusion. Using pre- and post-class surveys, the project will compare students’ learning and perceptions to assess the unit’s impact and identify areas for improvement.
Data collection is underway, and ethics approval is in progress following feedback on the initial submission. The team aims to present findings at the 2026 Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education (ASCILITE) conference.
