2026 Strategic Priorities

  • Expanding thought leadership and engagement

    We will foster impactful discussions at the university, national and global levels, shaping the narrative through evidence based research and advocacy.

  • Improving culture and faith awareness

    We will strengthen culture and faith awareness across the Faculty by creating opportunities for staff and students to build practical capability and confidence in inclusive practice.

  • Advancing ‘IT by everyone, for everyone’ in education

    We will expand outreach to schools from underrepresented backgrounds. We will also work to make curricula and teaching practices more inclusive across the Faculty.

  • Driving EDI in research and inclusive practices

    We will conduct and support EDI research, particularly in AI, while making research practices more inclusive and sharing insights from underrepresented staff to strengthen initiatives across the Faculty and beyond.

While progress is being made, the gender gap in IT remains. Underrepresentation limits talent and innovation. We're addressing this by improving curricula, expanding inclusive programs and research, and supporting leaders who share our vision.
