FIT Indigenous Student Guarantee
The Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) Indigenous Student Guarantee is a student-centred program that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander undergraduate students.
Through a single application, eligible students gain a clear and culturally safe pathway to scholarships, Industry-Based Learning opportunities, and placement grants—providing dedicated backing from enrolment through to graduation.
Apply as an Indigenous Australian student in an undergraduate IT degree at Monash
Maintain a minimum WAM of 50 each semester
Awarded a $10,000 per annum scholarship for your degree
Guaranteed 16-20 week paid IBL placement with an industry partner
How to apply for the Guarantee
Eligibility:
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Be enrolled in an on-campus undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University
- Must provide a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage certificate or a certified Statutory Declaration form to the William Cooper Institute
- Must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50 or above each semester
