CLARS announces new Malaysia Hub

Last year, Monash University hosted a large ministerial delegation from Malaysia’s Prime Minister’s Department. One of the reasons for that visit to Melbourne was to sign an MoU regarding the establishment of a new hub of Monash Law's Centre for Commercial Law and Regulatory Studies (CLARS) in Kuala Lumpur.

This year, that CLARS Malaysia Hub is a reality! One of its first projects, under the leadership of Director, Adnan Trakic, and Deputy-Director, Ridoan Karim, is a major collaborative research project, which is focused on modernising Malaysia's contract law framework, to ensure that it is fit for purpose in the digital age. Colleagues from Centre for Commercial Law and Regulatory Studies (CLARS) in Melbourne, who are engaged in this project include Karen Abidi and Tanjina Sharmin.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this exciting inaugural project for the CLARS Malaysia Hub, details of which are available at https://lnkd.in/gWx_YuUZ. We know there will be many more to come!
