City of Casey: Empowering Youth for Climate Action

Join Climate Classrooms: A hands-on climate education program

We’re excited to invite high school teachers and students to be part of Climate Classrooms, a new education program developed by the Monash Climate Change Communication Research Hub in partnership with the City of Casey.

This pilot program empowers young people by providing them with the knowledge and tools to take meaningful climate action in their homes, schools, and communities. Workshops will bring together teachers, students, and local climate and energy experts to co-design engaging, hands-on climate and energy activities that align with the Victorian Curriculum while tackling real-world challenges.

Get involved

Attend a full-day, in-person co-design workshop on Friday 25 July 2025, OR Monday 28 July 2025. The team is looking for at least 1 teacher and 2 students (from years 7-12) per school.

*Note: Student attendance is flexible and there may be potential to accommodate an entire class. Our team will reach out to you to discuss once you fill out the form below.

Attendees will then have the chance to trial materials in the classroom before they are shared with all Casey schools in Term 4.

This is a great opportunity to help shape climate education while giving students a voice in creating real solutions for their community.
