Net zero campuses
At the campus scale, the partnership will focus on delivering Monash’s Net Zero Initiative, which to date has won the ‘Momentum for Change Award’ presented by the United Nations in 2018.
Progress is being made against the Initiative’s goals and an integrated delivery approach can help scale learnings. The Net Zero Initiative primarily involves a focus on Net Zero Energy, and its interaction with Net Zero Buildings.
Energy supply
Targeting 100% renewable energy from on and off-site generation and managing demand through storage, consumption reduction and load shifting.
Digital optimisation and maintenance
Develop and deploy modelling and AI driven Energy Optimisation, Predictive Maintenance and data driven asset management.
Infrastructure and asset modernisation
Shifting Monash’s campuses off natural gas, deploying Distributed Energy Resources, and retrofitting buildings with leading edge equipment.
