Open Day is a chance to explore your future, discover new possibilities, and get a real feel for what uni life at Monash is like. And knowing how to approach your visit can help you get even more out of the day.

Here are seven ways to explore your options, find the experiences that matter most, and leave feeling more confident about your next steps.

Our Open Day is organised into study area zones, designed to help you explore your interests in one place. Within each zone, you can:
- hear from course experts
- tour our specialist facilities
- chat with current students
- get hands-on with interactive activities
- attend sample classes and taster sessions
Each zone is based in a specific part of campus, making it easier to move between experiences, and just as easy to stumble across something unexpected that sparks your interest. You might arrive focused on one course and leave inspired by another, and that’s exactly what Open Day is for.
Pick up an Open Day map and program when you arrive, or explore our interactive maps beforehand, then give yourself permission to wander.
Better yet, you don’t need to plan every minute of your visit. Most activities run all day or multiple times throughout the day, so you can explore at your own pace.
Exploring the info booths and sessions within our study area zones is highly encouraged and incredibly valuable.
But it's even more beneficial to combine these activities with our immersive experiences to gain an even deeper understanding of the student experience at Monash.
As you browse the What’s On at Open Day page, be sure to look for our interactive activities, taster sessions, showcases, and opportunities to engage with campus life, clubs and societies.
These experiences will provide you with an authentic glimpse of what your future at Monash could look like.
Torn between more than one area of study? You don’t necessarily have to choose just one.
At Monash, you can explore over 80 double degree combinations, designed to help you:
- deepen your expertise across two areas
- broaden your career opportunities
- graduate with two qualifications in less time than studying separately
It’s a flexible way to bring two different areas of interest together, whether that’s Arts and Law, Business and IT, or Education and Science.
Keep an eye out for double degree info sessions in the Open Day program, including sessions across Clayton and Caulfield campuses, where you can explore what combinations might work for you.
At Monash, your experience goes beyond the classroom. You can shape your degree through:

- industry experiences and internships

- hands-on, interdisciplinary learning and research

Each Monash campus has its own personality, community, and course offerings, so where you start depends on what you’re interested in.
A quick guide:
- Clayton – our largest campus, home to most faculties, with a vibrant “campus city” feel
- Caulfield – creative, connected, and home to art, design and architecture, business, arts and media communication, health sciences and public health
- Peninsula – coastal and community-focused, with allied health, education, and business programs
- Parkville – specialist pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences campus, located in a renowned health and biomedical precinct.
You can absolutely visit more than one campus, just check the What’s On at Open Day program to plan your route and make the most of your time.
Open Day is all about exploration, curiosity, and conversation.
To make the most of it:
- jot down courses or study areas you’re interested in
- highlight key sessions or activities you don’t want to miss (don’t forget to add them to your favourites!)
- bring a few questions for students and staff
But remember to stay open and curious while you’re here. Some of the most useful insights come from unexpected conversations, spontaneous detours, or activities you didn’t plan to attend.
