Just moments from the Melbourne CBD, our specialist Parkville campus is home to Monash’s Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, ranked #2 in the world and #1 in Australia for pharmacy and pharmacology.*

Getting here

Our specialist campus is located at 381 Royal Parade, Parkville. You can visit us by public transport or car.

Take the Upfield line to Royal Park Station and enjoy a short 10-minute walk to campus, or catch the Sunbury line to Parkville Station and jump on a Route 19 tram up Royal Parade.
Take route 19 and hop off at Stop 16 (Walker St/Royal Parade).
Take bus route 505 and get off at the Princes Park/Royal Parade stop.
If you do decide to drive, street parking is available along Royal Parade or Walker Street.

With plenty of specialised activities on offer, here are some highlights you might be interested in on the day:

Chat directly with academics, current students, and alumni from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover our pharmacy and pharmaceutical science courses and the career paths they lead to.
Participate in interactive activities that showcase exactly what pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists do – such as seeing NMR or HPLC machines in action – or test your clinical decision-making on our award-winning MyDispense platform.
There’s no better way to get a taste of life at Monash. Our enthusiastic student ambassadors will lead campus tours all day, rain or shine, to show you around our Parkville campus.
Head to the Your Journey to Monash zone, the ultimate nerve centre of Open Day! Our support staff are on hand to help you find your feet, answer questions, and assist you with applications, course entry schemes, pathways, or exploring our student community. If you want to speak with the Disability Support Services (DSS) team, they’ll be available in Cossar Hall inside the Sissons Building.
Open Day is packed with entertainment, so grab some snacks, enjoy the live performances, and keep an eye out for freebies.

Our tips for a great day

The best part about Open Day? You don’t have to plan every single minute of your visit. Most activities are repeated throughout the day, so you can explore at your own pace. Here are some of our tips for a great day:

By registering for Open Day in advance, we can send you all the tips and info to help you plan your visit.
Jump onto our online planner to start planning your day. Just use the filters to narrow things down by campus, study area, topic, or activity type. When you see something you like, make sure to save it to your personal My Open Day Plan. From there, you can easily copy the list or email it to yourself so it's ready to go on the day.
Use our interactive digital maps to find your way around campus. Whether you’re coming by train, car, or shuttle bus – or just moving between study area zones – these maps make it easy to find your way around. On the day, we’ll also have printed campus maps, and our friendly student ambassadors can help you find your way. Keep an eye out for students in the white vests – they’re our walk-me-there ambassadors, and they’ll take you directly where you need to go.
Bring a few questions for our staff and students. Look out for our student ambassadors dotted around campus (you won’t miss them!), who are ready and happy to answer any questions you may have.
Most activities run all day or repeat regularly, so you don’t need to schedule every minute of your visit. Some of the best insights come from spontaneous detours or unexpected conversations.
If the excitement gets a bit much, we’ve designed a quiet space in the library where you can recharge in a low-sensory environment.
