WHO WE ARE
We are a team of bioinformatics experts with backgrounds in Bioinformatics, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science and Software Development.
At Monash we are located at both the Clayton and Alfred campuses and actively engage with bioinformaticians and wet-lab researchers via various forums, online communication tools, and seminars.
VISION AND MISSION
The Monash Bioinformatics Platform (MBP) is one of many Research Technology Platforms established in 2014 to support the needs of the Monash research community.
The mission of the MBP is to enhance the quality of research at Monash University with the help of a core group of highly experienced bioinformaticians. The MBP provides a hub for Bioinformatics activities at Monash University and its collaborators, by building and linking the community of bioinformaticians across Monash and providing comprehensive bioinformatics research infrastructure and support.
We are committed to providing our users with products and services of the highest quality. Excellence and quality are paramount through all stages of research, industry engagement and collaborations. To achieve this, we have implemented a Platform Quality Management System (PQMS) that complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems (audited by SAI Global).
We are one of the ISO-accredited Monash technology research platform. The certification enables the highest level of quality and confidence in the services provided ensuring user satisfaction and thus supporting research excellence.
The University has developed a quality framework to allow implementation and maintenance of the PQMS in such a way that it is fully integrated into all working practices, that it continually helps to improve the quality of products and services as we fulfil our users, stakeholders and client requirements.
