The Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Awards for Professional Staff recognise individuals and teams who have made an outstanding contribution to the Monash community.

Award Themes

The Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Awards recognise professional staff whose contributions to the University demonstrated going above and beyond the requirements of their roles to realise significant and sustained achievement.

Nominations should address the following themes:
  • Fostering cross-university collaboration to improve the University’s environment, to build positive workplace culture and achieve positive outcomes for the Monash Community
  • Demonstrating professional excellence to enhance the staff and/or the student experience
  • Supervisors or leaders providing exceptional support to staff, fostering workplace collaboration, encouraging innovation and building an engaged culture
  • Sustainably enhancing or improving University’s operations i.e. efficiencies or streamlined practices.

Award Criteria

Nominations should address the following criteria:
  • Professional Excellence

    Describe the achievements of the nominated individual or team and outline how the nominee/s has/have demonstrated going above and beyond the requirements of their role/s.

  • Impact

    Describe the positive impact the nominee/s achieved and the extent their contributions benefitted staff, students or the broader Monash community.

  • Culture (Impact 2030)

    Nominations that demonstrate one or more of the culture values articulated in the University’s Impact 2030 strategic plan will be highly regarded. Describe how the nominee/s has/have aligned with the value/s of discovering, learning, purposeful, collaborative, honest and/or fair.
