Majors and minors (in the Bachelor of Arts)

Chinese studies

Study Australia’s most comprehensive Chinese language program, with six entry points ranging from beginner to advanced. European languages (French, German, Italian or Spanish & Latin American Studies)

In this area of study, specialise in one or more of French, German, Italian, or Spanish and Latin American Studies. You’ll explore the interconnections between languages and cultures and their global impact. This program prepares you for careers in areas like international relations, tourism, and diplomacy.

Global Asia

Gain an in-depth understanding of the history, politics, and cultures of key Asian countries like China, Japan, Indonesia, and South Asia. With a focus on modernisation, globalisation, and imperialism, this area of study prepares you for a wide range of roles in fields such as foreign consultancy, diplomacy, and international marketing.

Indonesian studies

Explore one of Australia’s most important neighbours through a deep dive into the language, culture, and history of Indonesia. Japanese studies
