Outwit Hub
- Outwit Hub is a web scraping tool which can be used to collect data from any website. It does so by directly parsing the source code of a website.
- Outwit Hub needs to be downloaded and installed before it can be used, and can operate on both Windows and macOS.
- OutWit Hub requires some basic knowledge of HTML, but is otherwise intuitive and user friendly.
- OutWit Hub offers a light version which is free, and most notably has limitations on the amount of elements that can be extracted from a webpage and cannot be used to scrape dynamic webpages. Pro, Expert and Enterprise versions have additional features, but the average research project would likely only need the Light or Pro version.
- OutWit Hub can be used to extract many elements from a webpage, the specifics of which will depend on the webpage in question. For example, it would be possible to extract the name of a user on a social media platform, along with their handle, comment and datetime.
- OutWit Hub is currently functional.
