"Leadership, for me has always been about taking on responsibility. It's leading by example, it's demonstrating and doing. Leadership is about listening. I have known some phenomenally quiet reserved people who are the best communicators and most effective leaders that I've ever come across. Because they can bring people with them in a quiet manner."
Helen Sawczak
Consultant and Non-Executive Director. Former National CEO, Australia-China Business Council
"Networking is very conducive to creating a community where people are happy to help each other. Probably about a third of jobs that are available in Melbourne are not advertised, and the way that they are available is through connections."
Charles Qin OAM
Founder and Managing Director, Chin Communications
"Data is in our everyday life. Data is not only mathematics, it's about your behaviour, and how you translate your industry, certain words you have used, and certain website you have visited, all these things are data. For us internally in the company, we need to have analysis done on the data we collected on clients, what areas that is presenting a trajectory, and also what the behaviours are. So data is very important."
