Monash University is unrelenting in our pursuit of fundamental human rights and social justice, at home and abroad. Our global conscience is imbued in our teaching and learning, and it drives our research and partnerships. We are leaders in the interrogation of modern slavery and human trafficking and its responses in the Asia-Pacific region and across Europe over the past decade, including forming the first of its kind Modern Slavery Law Clinic in 2019.
We are committed to providing vital advocacy, evidence-based research and teaching to lead the fight to end the death penalty in the Asian region where more than 90% of the world's executions take place.
Castan Centre for Human Rights Law
Part of the Monash Technology Precinct, this world-renowned academic centre is using its human rights expertise to create a more just world where human rights are respected and protected, allowing people to pursue their lives in freedom and with dignity.
