About the Network
The Indigenous Alumni Network - Djambana Ballert Gadhaba ("the community is strong together") - brings together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Monash graduates from every discipline, generation, and location. Led by the William Cooper Institute, the network is a space for connection, belonging, and shared cultural strength long after graduation.
Our purpose is to keep our mob connected through:

To nurture strong, ongoing relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander alumni, creating pathways for your voices, knowledge, and leadership to feed back into learning and teaching, research, and the advancement of Indigenous excellence across Monash University.
This vision reflects Pillar 5 of the Monash Indigenous Strategy 2019–2030 and our commitment to ensuring Indigenous perspectives shape the future of the University.

Indigenous Alumni Launch Event - September 2026
We are excited to launch the Indigenous Alumni Network in September 2026 at Monash University Clayton campus.
The event will be catered and will have keynote talks from distinguished Indigenous alumni sharing their university and career journeys, and dedicated time for networking and reconnecting. It will be a warm and meaningful gathering to celebrate this milestone and strengthen alumni connections across generations. The Master of Indigenous Business Leadership is a transformational program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander professionals wanting to strengthen leadership and influence decision‑making. The Indigenous Graduate Program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander graduates to build professional capability through tailored development, mentoring, and meaningful placements across Monash.
