Jayden is currently in his third year at Monash studying a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws, majoring in Politics and International Relations. He has always had a passion for human rights and has used his time at Monash to hone his interest in these areas.

He has worked as the Indigenous Office Bearer of the Monash Student Association for 2016 & 2017, and is involved in various policy committees relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues. These positions have allowed Jayden to pursue his interest in public policy, particularly in relation to Indigenous affairs. Jayden is passionate not only about the human rights of Indigenous Australians, but the rights of all Indigenous peoples around the world.

Jayden is looking forward to gaining first-hand experience in the work of the Human Rights Council and the United Nations as a broader organisation. He is excited to be taking part in the processes of the UN and helping deal with the many human rights issues affecting the world today.

This year Jayden is working as a paralegal at Bupa Australia & New Zealand. While this work does not principally relate to human rights, there are valuable skills and experience to be gained in the corporate sector that can be transferred to the human rights field. Jayden is truly appreciative of the experience and knowledge he has gained from this role and hopes to apply it while interning in Geneva.
