2018 Castan Global Interns
The Castan Centre awarded seven 2018 Global Internships to Monash Law students who have shown a strong and continuing interest in the study and practical application of human rights. These Internships will take place over Summer 2017/18 at Human Rights First, New York City; Reprieve, USA; Southern Africa Litigation Centre, Johannesburg; the UN Human Rights Council, Geneva, International Women's Rights Action Watch - Asia Pacific, Malaysia, HAKAM, Malaysia and International Service for Human Rights, Geneva.
These seven students have been given the unique opportunity to experience and contribute to international human rights organisations first hand. To find out more about the organisations and the background of the Castan interns, please see the intern profiles below.

Michael Li, who will intern at Human Rights First , New York City.
Michelle Freilich, who will intern at the International Women's Rights Action Watch - Asia Pacific, Malaysia.
Shmuel Levin, who will intern at Malasia's National Human Rights Society - HAKAM, Malaysia.
James Barklamb, who will intern at Reprieve, USA.
Aiden McKee, who will intern at the International Service for Human Rights, Geneva.
Brittany Jeffs, who will intern at the Southern Africa Litigation Centre, Johannesburg.
Jayden Crozier, who will intern at the Australian Permanent Mission to the UN Human Rights Council, Geneva.
The 2018 Castan Centre Global Interns are provided with financial assistance by Daniel and Danielle Besen, Sylvia & Michael Kantor, the Nordia Foundation, the Bennelong Foundation, the Monash Law Faculty's Student Mobility Fund, and MyriaD Consultants, which conducts the cross-cultural training.
