Human Rights 2020
The Annual Castan Centre for Human Rights Law Conference
Human Rights 2020 Cancelled
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold, we continue to face challenging circumstances. Although we are all adjusting to the various impacts on our personal, professional and community-focused lives, there are still difficult decisions to be made.
As you know, the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law’s key priority is the health and wellbeing of our community. Although our aim is to maintain ‘business as usual’ by changing and adapting the ways we operate, particularly in the areas of research and public engagement, we must also carefully forward plan our activities for 2020, making rational decisions based on the best available information and forecasts in uncertain times.
After serious consideration it has been decided that the 2020 Castan Centre Annual Human Rights Conference be cancelled. The conference, which had been postponed to Friday 27 November 2020, will no longer be held.
Through these difficult times, we thank you for your continued and valued support. We are planning to shift our ongoing public human rights program (e.g. public lectures, seminars and events) to an online format, so please stay informed about our upcoming events by subscribing to our mailing list. Or, if you want to get the news as it breaks, follow us on Twitter or Facebook.
