Arrival and check in

International Student Day check-in booths will be open from 9.30am. Please arrive with enough time to check-in. After check-in you will be assigned to a main activity room for the first session and light morning refreshments will be served.

From must‑know resources and support services to insider tips that help you settle into Melbourne fast, you’ll learn how to tap into the right support at the right time, and make the most of every Orientation opportunity. It’s your launchpad into an exciting, connected international student experience.
International student celebration and lunch

The International Student Celebration will officially welcome you to the Monash community. Join fellow students for an afternoon of free fun, music, games, lunch and other refreshments. The relaxed vibe creates a perfect atmosphere to meet and hang out with new friends.

All attendees will receive lunch and refreshments throughout the day to keep you fuelled for all the activities we have programmed.
No, alcohol won't be served at this event. There will be non-alcoholic beverage options available including free water.
Yes, you must register through the O-Planner. You will have to check-in at the event upon arrival.
No. As there is no alcohol served, we won’t need to confirm IDs.
No, this event is for new Monash University students only.
To plan your travel to and from Clayton campus, please visit the Getting to Monash website.
Regular campus shuttle buses will be operating to help get students to Clayton campus. Monash students can use the free shuttle buses to travel between campuses by scanning their M-Pass ID upon boarding.
Wear comfortable casual clothing suitable for a full day of activities.

- Your Monash Student ID (required for check‑in and shuttle buses)
- A reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
- A notebook or device if you’d like to take notes during the Essentials session
- Weather‑appropriate items (e.g., hat, sunscreen, or umbrella)
