Responsible investment Principles and Processes - Request for Feedback

We are inviting staff and student feedback on proposed responsible investment principles and related processes to be incorporated into the existing Investment Policy and Investment Procedure.

Responsible investment reflects how Monash aligns its financial stewardship with its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments, including its broader long-term sustainability objectives.

The consultation focuses on clarifying how ESG considerations are incorporated into investment governance, decision-making, and oversight, rather than addressing individual investment decisions or portfolio holdings. Given Monash’s current investment structures, responsible investment considerations are generally implemented through governance processes and oversight of external investment managers, rather than through direct control of underlying investments.
