Join our lab
We are always happy to consider potential Masters and PhD applications with common research interests. For general information about graduate research at Monash University, click here
How do I apply
In Australia, students apply for scholarship funding to undertake a PhD. If you’d like to do your PhD in the lab, email an expression of interest to James Coxon including a statement of your research interests, a current CV, and your full academic transcript. This information will be considered to determine if you’d be a good fit for the lab.
Detailed information on scholarships available to domestic and international students can be found here
What are the prerequisites?
You should have an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (typically psychology, neuroscience, physiology, or exercise science), and be completing an Honours or Masters degree. Scholarships at Monash are very competitive and are typically awarded to students with H1 (first class Honours) and ‘A’ average in undergraduate training.
When should I apply?
Monash has two application rounds each year, which differ for domestic and international students. See here. You should contact your potential supervisor at least 8 weeks before the relevant deadline to begin planning and discussions.
